Join us for Sunset Mahj Wednesday, Mahjong in the Sun’s new weekly hosted mahjong experience at Really Good Beer Stop Nocatee!
Sunset Mahj Wednesdays are designed to take the guesswork out of finding people to play with. Reserve your seat, show up and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll organize players by experience level, host four games throughout the evening and keep track of scores as you play your way onto our monthly Sunset Mahj leaderboard.
Come on your own, bring a friend or bring your whole mahj crew. The goal is to play great games, meet new people and make Wednesday nights something you look forward to every week.

$20 per player / $15 per player if you’re registered for the Bambird Scramble
Your ticket reserves your seat for the September 2nd experience. Space is limited based on available mahjong tables, so advance registration is encouraged.
Who Should Attend?
Sunset Mahj Wednesdays are for players who already know the basics of American Mahjong and can play independently. You do not need to be an expert or competitive player!
Newer players, social players and experienced players are all welcome, and we’ll do our best to seat players with others at a similar experience level.

Join Mahjong in the Sun on Saturday, September 12 for our official Northeast Florida Bambird Scramble Fall League Kickoff + Match Scheduling Party!
Our Fall season officially begins Monday, September 14, and this is your chance to meet fellow Scramblers from Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine and surrounding communities, make connections and start getting your matches on the calendar!
Already registered for the Bambird Scramble? Come meet other players, find people whose schedules work with yours and start planning your matches for the season.
Curious about joining? Come learn how the Bambird Scramble works, meet the community and see why this flexible social league is such a fun way to play more mahjong and meet new people.
And, of course, we’re playing mahj!
We’ll have open play throughout the event, so bring your tiles if you have them and grab a table with old friends—or make some new ones.

We’re kicking off the Fall Northeast Florida Bambird Scramble season with an afternoon of mahjong, lunch, new connections and plenty of time to start filling up your match calendar!
Join Mahjong in the Sun inside air-conditioned Harbour Hall, overlooking right field at VyStar Ballpark, home of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. It’s the perfect setting to meet fellow Scramblers from Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine before the Fall season officially begins on September 14.

Already registered for the Bambird Scramble? Come meet more of the players you’ll be scrambling with this fall, play some mahj and start scheduling matches directly in the Bambird portal. Bring your calendar and leave with some of your season matches already on the books!
Thinking about joining the Scramble? This is also a great opportunity to meet the community, learn how the social league works and see why so many Northeast Florida mahjong players are joining in.
Throughout the afternoon, we’ll have open play, scorekeeping practice and prizes for our top players. New to mahjong? Choose the Mahjong 101 ticket and learn the game with an instructor so you’re ready to start playing and eventually join the Scramble.

Our instructors will teach you the basics of American Mahjong and play alongside you as you learn, so you can start building your confidence and get ready to join our growing Northeast Florida mahjong community.

Purchase your Jumbo Shrimp game ticket separately and plan to stick around VyStar Ballpark after our kickoff.
And yes—bring your mahjong tiles with you!
Earlier this summer, we took Mahjong in the Sun out to the public tables in the outfield, and we’re doing it again. Head to the Tiki Terrace, grab one of the public tables early and keep playing mahjong while enjoying the game. NOTE: These are not reserved tables so you will need to enter the gates early at 5:05pm when they open in order to grab one of the public tables for your mahj!
Come for the kickoff. Stay for baseball. Keep playing mahj in the outfield.
Jumbo Shrimp game tickets are purchased separately and are not included with the $50 Open Play or $80 Mahjong 101 tickets.
