Sunset Mahj Wednesdays is Mahjong in the Sun’s weekly hosted mahjong experience at Really Good Beer Stop Nocatee. It’s a fun, social Wednesday night filled with mahjong, new friends, friendly competition, weekly prizes and our monthly leaderboard.

Join the Mahjong in the Sun team every Wednesday as we host Sunset Mahj Wednesdays from 6:00–9:00 PM at Really Good Beer Stop Nocatee in Ponte Vedra, Florida.

Admission is $20 per person, or $15 per person if you’re registered for the Bambird Scramble social league (Fall Signups opening August 17th), and includes your reserved seat for the evening, hosted games, weekly prize opportunities, raffles and participation in our monthly leaderboard.

Yes! We highly recommend purchasing your ticket in advance so we can plan tables and match players appropriately. Your ticket guarantees your seat for the evening. You can message us if you’d like to play with friends.

Sunset Mahj Wednesdays is designed for players who already know the basics of American Mahjong and are comfortable playing a game independently.

Brand new to mahjong? We’d love to have you join the community! Check out our upcoming Mahjong 101 experiences to learn how to play, then come join us on Wednesday nights.

You don’t need to be an expert! We welcome newer players, social players and experienced players. We’ll do our best to create tables based on experience level so everyone can enjoy their games.

If you have a mahjong set and/or mat, you can bring it! Mahjong in the Sun will also have sets available, so you do not need to own a set to participate.

Check in when you arrive and we’ll help get everyone seated. Throughout the evening, you’ll play hosted games with opportunities to rotate tables, meet different players and record your scores.

Yes! Scores are recorded throughout the evening and contribute to our monthly Sunset Mahj leaderboard. It adds a little friendly competition while keeping the focus on having fun and meeting new people.

Not at all. Sunset Mahj Wednesdays is social first, competition second. The leaderboard, prizes and scoring make things more fun, but you absolutely do not need to be a tournament player to participate.

Yes! Each Wednesday features opportunities for weekly prizes, raffles and surprise giveaways, plus our monthly leaderboard gives you even more reason to keep coming back.

No. We’d love to have you for the full evening, but we understand schedules vary. Come play as much as you can during the 6:00–9:00 PM experience.

Absolutely — and we encourage it! One of the best parts of Sunset Mahj Wednesdays is having a place where you know you’ll have people to play with. You don’t need to organize your own table or bring three friends. Reserve your seat and we’ll take care of the rest.

You’re welcome to let us know if you’re coming with friends. Because part of the Sunset Mahj experience is meeting and playing with different people, seating and rotations may change throughout the evening.

Yes! Really Good Beer Stop Nocatee has beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and pizza available for purchase, so grab dinner and a drink while you play.

We play American Mahjong using the current National Mah Jongg League card and rules unless otherwise noted for a special game or event. Bring your 2026 NMJL card.

Friday Mahj Club is our casual complimentary Friday afternoon open play, while Sunset Mahj Wednesdays is a ticketed, hosted experience with reserved seating, organized games, scoring, weekly prizes and a monthly leaderboard.
